Welcome to “In His Spirit.” My name is Shawn Franco and I’m the Pastor of Community at Cornerstone Assembly of God (Richmond, VA). I lead our Wednesday night service called “New Community.” I use this name because I am seeking a “new community” of Christians that are strong both in the Spirit of God (hence the name of this blog – almost) and The Word of God (which is the language of the Spirit). Too often Christians are one but not the other. Being one dimensional leaves Christians unbalanced, unhealthy and unfulfilled (pretty impressive list of “un”s, hugh?). I am convinced it is not the desire of King Jesus. I am praying through our friendships and our common honesty and thirst before God’s Word, we can become the people that God is longing for us to become for a world in need.
This blog is my journey as a pastor to teach, encourage and prophetically lead God’s people. Enjoy the read. May it be used by the Holy Spirit to stir up His truth and action in your life!
